Ingredients

Polenta is a creamy corn porridge. It is made with cornmeal, salt, cheese, butter, water, salt, pepper, and dill. This corn porridge is really easy to make, the texture is creamy, silky, and smooth. So delicate!

Can I add milk?

Yes, absolutely, you can add half water, and half milk.

What kind of cheese can I use for creamy polenta?

Mozzarella cheese is a good neutral option. This cheese doesn’t have a strong flavor which helps to form a perfect texture of the corn polenta. You can add feta cheese, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, gouda cheese, or cottage cheese, too.

What to do if the polenta is too dense?

Add a little bit of water and whisk it again. Milk will also work great.

Gather all ingredients such as 2 pints of water, 1 cup of cornmeal, 2 oz mozzarella cheese, 1 oz butter, pepper, and salt.

Step 2. Pour water 1 min

Pour water into a casserole.

Add cornmeal to water.

Step 4. Mix 2 min

Mix water with cornmeal using a spoon.

Step 5. Cook polenta 14 min

Cook polenta on a stove over low-medium heat for 12-14 min stirring constantly so that the bottom doesn't burn or stick.

Step 6. Add butter & cheese 1 min

Add butter and cheese and stir until the porridge is nice and creamy. Decorate with a little bit of butter on top and fresh chopped dill (this is the way how I like to serve it). You may skip the dill if you want to.
